SWEET SATURDAY ONE

Should I? Should I not? Should I? Should I not? Indecision is easy for me.

I'm enjoying my little blog and have toyed with the idea of blogging on a day to day topic schedule. One day I think, okay, next day, no, I just want to use up some of my words for the day and post a picture of my GRAND baby. Me? Oh, yeah!

I'll give it another shot but don't hold me to it. I like being able to be free of a schedule, especially since I'm no longer working.

How about a sweet Saturday? It will be a recipe from my 43 year old collection, inexpensive to make, too, of course.

Here is the first Sweet Saturday recipe, one of my favorites:

Easy Fudge Pie

1 stick of margarine, melted (I use real butter)
1/4 cup plain flour
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 9" frozen pie shell, thawed, pricked with fork

Melt butter
Combine flour, cocoa, sugar stir till blended
Break eggs in bowl, lightly beat with fork till blended
Add flour, coca, sugar, eggs and vanilla to melted butter, stir till well blended, pour into unbaked shell
Bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven

Pie will be soft in middle but will firm as it cools. I put the cool pie in the fridge, serve it cold. Presto. Easy Fudge Pie.

I have a similar recipe...easy and one of my favorites..it's nice for the holidays with some whipped cream sprinkled with crushed peppermints or a scoop of peppermint ice cream. Yum.
