MONEY SAVING TIP......EATING OUT ON YOUR BIRTHDAY

I love to eat out.  I would rather eat out any day than cook.  It's not the cooking so much as it is the cleaning up.  Ugh.  No, wait, it's the cooking, too.

An easy way to save money when eating out is to sign up on the website of your favorite restaurants.  You will get free food!

Many websites offer something free when you sign up.  For instance a free drink, a free french fry, free dessert.

Yes you will continue to get emails but if you go there regularly, the emails will keep you updated on menu changes, specials, etc.

On your birthday, you will receive a coupon for a free burger from Ruby Tuesday.  When you sign up at Dairy Queen, you get a free blizzard with the purchase of one.

So, take an hour and sign up!  Eat out on your birthday!  All day if you sign up for the right websites!

Celebrate!

Happy Birthday from me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Another day, another birthday, another year.   Wowzers.  Time sure goes by fast.  Always thought it was suppose to be slower in the sunset years.  Wrong.  It seems the world just keeps getting faster.

I am thankful to still be here.  Now, on my 67th birthday.  How did that happen?  67 sounds so much older than 66.

Woke up this morning and decided to do things that started with the letter C.

Cinderella movie.....eat lunch at Chipolte's.....crash at the local pool.....chew on a big old steak.  Did them all but had a great surprise.  The Daughter and her little girl surprised me and we spent the day together.  She bought my lunch.  Plus a cute gift.  We had a good time.  Thank you, Angela.  You are the best!

The Hubbie gave me a sweet card with cash.  More C's.

It was a very good day!   Happy Birthday to Me!

MONEY SAVING TIP.....COMPUTER BATTERY PART 2

In the last post, I gave suggestions on saving money on a computer battery (laptop).  This is an update on that post.

Yes.....

the computer was dead as a door nail....what does that mean, anyway?

plugging same into the wall did nothing....still dead as a door nail......

the post was to remove the battery,  plug in the computer into a wall socket and just ignore the battery all together......

yes, it worked.....

tried again to power up the battery after re-installing the old battery.....

gave it an over night charge and

wa la.....it worked!!!

Why?

Don't have a clue why but it did.  No cash for a new 8 hour battery!!  Ching.  Ching.

Savin' mo moneeeeee!

MONEY SAVING TIP.....COMPUTER BATTERY

What a week we have had!  The Hubbie was in the hospital and The Older Son still is.  Too much at one time, oh yes.

So, when I had a chance to sit down to my 10 year old laptop, HP, I might add.  The battery was dead as a door nail.  I put it in hibernate and forgot about it as I rushed out the door to take The Hubbie to the far away hospital.   After attempting to charge the 8 hour, 8 year old battery, I gave up.

Then it dawned on me.

Take out the battery and plug in the laptop with the chord.

It worked!  Obviously.

Now, I have time to seek out a coupon, wait for a sale, or shop around.  I'm learning towards Battery Plus.  It is where the last one came from and was reasonable.

Or just use it as a plug in the wall version, not buying a battery at all.

No panic.

Save a buck or several is the goal!
