WHAT DAY IS IT?

One of the things that is interesting about not working is the days running together. Let's see now. It's the day before, the day before Christmas. Does that make it Christmas Eve Eve?

Probably.

Any who, here is a Merry Christmas greeting to all of my readers.
Peace. Love and Joy..............

TREE TIP on TUESDAY

Our GRAND son is now into trains. I'm trying to decorate our Christmas tree each year to his interests, adding the GRAND daughter's first ornament this year. God is good!

I have a dear friend, Sunny, who is so creative. She has the touch of a professional with fabric, yarn, you name it, she can make it and make it beautiful! I asked her about decorations for a train tree. She emailed me back to make a track from a roll of adding machine tape/paper. What a great idea!!

I went to Dollar Tree but there was no adding machine tape but I did find two rolls of white crepe paper for, yes, only $1, so in the basket it went.

The steps are:
unroll the paper completely
put something under it before you start to draw the track because the marker will leak thru
first, draw the two horizontal lines
next, add the vertical 'rails'
move to the next horizontal lines
draw until you run out of paper
roll it back up with the right side in
unroll on the tree so the right side should be on the outside
yeah, it looks like a tree wrapped in toilet paper at first but you will see the tracks really quick
THANKS SUNNY!

Rolling it up makes it easier to handle!

Finished!

ALL ABOARD!

FOR THE RILEY!

YOUNG SON, THE WAITER

Our young son is 25, wow, how did that happen? He is struggling to finish college, having to drop out three times because of sickness. He is now taking classes part time. He is a waiter.
If I had a million or two dollars, I would help him, pay off his student loans, buy that ring, etc. I hate that money controls our lives, or should I say, not having money controls our lives. Praying for Jared today and every day.

FREE THERAPY ON WORDEE WEDNESDAY

*****************************************************
Don't worry about people from your past.

There is a reason they didn't make it to your future.

I do not remember where this came from but, yes, you have permission to copy, print and post in a handy location, some place you can see it as needed. It is acutally my scrolling marquee screen saver, royal blue background, fushia pink letters. Grin!

Here is one that is on my Facebook information page, permission granted. :)

IMPORTANCE OF A BUDGET

It's time for a tip on Tuesday. The best way to run anything whether it is your household, business, church, school, anything, is to have a budget. It must be a budget that works and one you can stick to for the long term with the main goal of becoming debt free. Debt free? Why? Because you get to keep the money you make!

This is an example of a bad budget:

SAD FRIDAY

For the most part, I try to keep this blog upbeat, although I do have down days myself and the blog reflects those days. Today is a very sad post.

A two year old little girl was killed this week. She was riding in the car with her mother. The mother lost control of the car, went off the road and into a wooded area. A tree came through the car window and struck the little girl in the face. The description of the her injuries are difficult to discuss so I will not. The doctors advised the family not to see her after she passed. Although she was in her car seat, she did not survive. Her funeral is on Saturday.

To think a small child died in this way is hard to think about but it's all we can think about. This family must be suffering so bad! We have two GRANDS, one is two. We could not imagine his being taken out of our lives.

Life is so fragile and can be so very, very short. We cannot choose the day we die or how we die. Death is certain. Read the Bible. Find God. Don't leave it to chance.

*******************UPDATE************************

More information says that the mother over compensated for debris in the road, hit a pole which came into the vehicle. The rest is the same.

YELLOW?

I took a personality test a few months ago and found this in my notes file. Supposedly, I am a yellow, which is one of my favorite colors. Here are the results:

Yellows (Motive: Fun)yellows are motivated by Fun. They are inviting and embrace life as a party that they're hosting. They love playful interaction and can be extremely sociable. They are highly persuasive and seek instant gratification. yellows need to be adored and praised. While yellows are carefree, they are sensitive and highly alert to others' agendas to control them. Yellows typically carry within themselves the gift of a good heart.

Really? Notice there are zero negatives in these results......

EBAY TRASH

Tuesday is here and it's time for a money saving tip.

Recently, I signed up for a newsletter to be delivered to my email box. It is all about selling on eBay. Have you tried eBay? I have in the past and it's time to crank up the old site, downsize some of our stuff and supplement the income. It is my hobby. So, I have been researching eBay, trying to find out how to price items, what is selling, etc.

Here are a few things that have sold in the past the most people just throw in the garbage:

empty toilet paper rolls
empty paper towel rolls
coffee grounds
buttons
zippers
wooden thread spools
empty baby food jars
old radio parts
certain grasses from FL to make baskets
pine needles
pine cones

Who would have ever thought? Not me. Gooooooo eBay!

MONDAY ALREADY?

This year is vanishing. Maybe a better word would be evaporating, no disappearing, no screaming by, whatever, it's almost G-O-N-E! What's up? I even hear teenagers talking about how fast it is going.

Isn't life suppose to slow down when you get 'older'? Not for me, not this year, anyway. Seems like it should be Feburary, not December. I say that every year lately, this time I really, really mean it. Alas, tis true, it be the last month of 2011.

Why?

Read a post the other day that might help explain it. Here it is:

LIFE IS LIKE A ROLL OF TOILET PAPER.
THE NEARER IT GETS TO THE END, THE FASTER IT GOES.
