Today is a life changing day, how many of those does a body have in a lifetime?
Today, The Hubbie started working part time, well, part time to him. For years he has worked 50 hour weeks with hours of commute added to that 50 hour week. Today, he has started working 35 hours a week, work two days, off two days, work two days, off on Sunday. He went into the store today at 9 AM.
We are still trying to get to the point that our health insurance will not come out of his part time job money, small steps are being taken, but moving forward is the goal.
Our first Social Security checks arrive in a few weeks, direct deposited, of course. He will be making the limited 1180 per month with insurance deducted from that amount.
We have been successful in paying off the house, cutting his medication expenses to less than half, reduced our utility expenses, reduced grocery costs, learning the couponing game, reduced charitable giving, reduced eatting out costs, and other stuff that I cannot remember at the moment.
Any how, we're working it.
It can happen.
