When you leave the house or apartment, adjust the thermostat.
My daughter, who lives in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, has been doing this. She and her husband work full time so the heat is only up about two hours a day. They turn it back down during the night.
Their utility bill last month was $53.00.
