Well, howdy, Readers! Hard to believe but Spring is in the air in Dixie. The daffodils are up, more on the way, so I'm getting the itch to do some decorating.....on the cheap of course.
Dinah, Diary of a Not So Mad Housewife fellow blogger, and I have been discussing using the color yellow with a neutral pallet of gray. Since I have gray, taupe and black in the living room, I've decided to try the yellow as an accent color.
This is what I found at the JC Five Star Outlet, aka JC Penney outlet that is no longer owned by JCP. I browsed thru the store without finding much. I stopped at the bin of discount pillow cases and found these for $4.99 for two!! Couldn't buy the fabric for that so I snatched them up. These are perfect for covering the pillows.
I also went to WM for a can of yellow spray paint. There were three, yes 3 !!!, different shades. I picked up the Sun Gold in the Krylon section. Pictures to follow. Watch out when I get a can of spray paint! Not much is safe.....
I am collecting things to use in the living room mostly from around the house. I am a big believer in using what you already have to save $$$$.
It's still cold so I'm not going to start this project for a few more weeks so stop back by and see how it turns out.
