Noble Peace Prize to Obama

I woke up this morning to shocking news.

President Obama was given the Noble Peace Prize.

My first response was:

FOR WHAT????

I always knew the peace prize was a joke. It is always given to liberals. Now I know all those guys are crazy.

It's over and some rattling

The destruction and repair of the master bedroom wall is over. Thankfully, the termite damage was only on the surface and the paper on some of the sheetrock. The entrance point has been poisioned and sealed. The room looks as good as new!

My toes are infected. Joy. There is another doctor appointment scheduled for tomorrow. No pictres....very ugh.

The weather here is absolutely beautiful.

I have good news about my home business. It is going very well. I will post information soon. Tonight is another webinar so I am 'attending' via internet connection.

I Am Not Happy TODAY No Way

Nope, not a happy day.

We have termite damage in the master bedroom and the demolition has started today.


The walls are being cut out as I type this blog.

The crew was suppose to be here at 7 AM, another boo because I am NOT a morning person. They arrived at 7:15 and will work till 5 PM.

I am pouting. Yes pouting.

Saturday and I'm Bored

It's Saturday and I'm Bored. It's not as though I have nothing to do. On the contrary, I have lots to do.

Dejunk the computer desk.
Post stuff on Ebay.
Start an Esty store.
Finish training for my home based business with Fortune.
Clean the bathroom.
Finish the laundry.
Get ready for Sunday.

See, the list has several things that could be accomplished on a cool, quiet Saturday.

Originally, I thought I would be meeting the Son and DIL and the GRAND baby but plans change. I hear WM calling.

The question is...will any of it get done?

Just Thursday

It seems to be a pretty normal Thursday so far.

The Hubbie is off, his normal day off, and I slept too late. I stayed up too late, so I slept too late.

Now, to do the laundry, shower, put clean sheets on the Master Bedroom/guest room bed, and plan to go with Hubbie where he goes today.

Life is good. Life is simple.

We are empty nesters.

Yucky Toes

These are pictures of my toes.

The first one is in the water at the beach.


The second one is a picture after making a visit to the podiatrist to have two ingrown toenails repaired. He said he did not realize how bad they were until he 'got in there'. No wonder they were bothering you was his quote.


More pictures to come as they heal, which I am wondering about today. Both toes are a bit more sore. Time will tell. I go back for a follow up visit on Friday.

Now, haven't I made it an interesting day?

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

WOW! What beautiful weather we are having here today. It was beautiful yesterday, too. The sun is out. The clouds are extra white. The sky is extra blue. The air is cool. It's Fall at last.

Fall, I have determined, is my favorite time of the year. It has taken me 61 years to make that determination but it is made. For years, I loved Spring better but then Spring is so short. In the South we have easy winters but Spring seems to pop up and leave just as quick, giving way to Summer.

Two years ago, we had temps of 104 degrees for 10 days. They were scorcher days. The last two Summers have been mild with only a few days in the high 90s.

Another thing I have determined is that I am not going to have a themed blog. I have wrestled with what I should do on my little blog. Recipes? Weight loss? Before and afters in my life? It's just going to be what I intended it to be in the very beginning. It's a blog to divert my attention but also it has evolved into an online diary.

I blog about little tidbits in my life on a daily basis. There are days I actually would like to post more than one time a day but I am holding myself back.

Since today is my happy group day, I will report that I lost 1/2 lb even after vacation. It's a good thing vacation ended last Thursday and I had a few days to catch up.

Well, that's all for this blog. I'm off to the sleep disorder doctor. I have sleep apnea and have had several years of wrestling with my cpap machine, finally giving up on it and packing it away in the closet. I am going to a new doctor to see what he can tell me.

Ida

Today, a sweet lady passed to the other side. I have known her for almost 12 years. She use to work in the lunch room at the school where my last child attended and graduated. She had the prettiest silver hair and a wonderful smile. We were walking buddies for a time.

Although some do not believe in Heaven, most do not want to believe there is the other place. If one believes or doesn't believe does not change that there are two places in the next life.

It has always astounded me that everyone thinks everyone is in Heaven, the good place. No one can stand the thought that one of their friends or relatives might be in the bad place. It would be too much to bear.

However, Hollywood sends everyone straight to Heaven. Most of them do not even believe in God, curse Him, certainly do not live for Him, and are among the lowest in morals crowd in society. Insane thinking.

But, there are people in life that you know are in the good place, Heaven. Miss Ida is one of them. She was a wonderfully sweet lady, believer in God and accepting of Jesus as Savior.

RIP Miss Ida. You are finally home.
