Going There

90 years old

I never know what I am going to see at the grocery store.

Today was interesting.

I saw this elderly woman limping around doing her shopping. Well, actually shopping for a friend.

I stopped and asked he if she was having knee problems or back problems.

She said, lower back and that she had new knees in her eighties.

She then said I'm 90.

My mouth dropped open.

She was lovely.  She was dressed nicely in black slacks and red top.  Her hair was done and she was wearing full make up.

I felt like a ragamuffin.

She inspired me to not give up and work on how I see myself, dress myself and wear my makeup more.

She was lovely and I thought maybe, just maybe I might, just might, make it to 90 and still be doing my own grocery shopping.

We don't know how or when our time will be up but she was inspiring.

Yes, I was inspired in Kroger today.

Now, read the first line.

Life is good.

DEVALUED

So many things if life today are being devalued.

Here is a short but accurate list:

The moon landing....I worked for NASA at the time and saw the plans for all of it as well as the space station which was then called Central Space Lab.  It happened.

Anything and everything on TV.....nothing is real on it, you know.  Even the religious broadcasts that speak the truth that Christ is Lord of all....are tweaked, altered to fit the time space and are not full worship services.  Ever see announcements or offerings or invitations?

Our Country....America has been devalued around the world and back again!  Such a shame.

Life....do you realize that over 28 million babies have been lost to abortion?  Maybe, just maybe, that is the real reason for a labor shortage these days.  We've killed an entire generation of scientists, nurses, teachers, mommies, daddies.  Such heartbreak.

Money.....the thing that fixes life in so many ways....money...devalued now and inflation is on the rise.  Don't know about you but the things we buy like groceries, gas, the necessities, have all doubled.

And now....even Christmas is devalued.  It is no longer considered a time to worship and be with family.  One company even calls it the All-A-Days.  Hard to believe but it's true.

So, blogging world, I pause to take a minute on my little neglected blog to wish you all....

A

MERRY

CHRISTMAS!

GRACE AND PEACE TO ALL!
