GAS TIP

Can you believe how much gasoline is costing? It's absolutely insane. We've found a little tip that has helped our gas mileage. Ready? Here it is:

BUY REAL GAS!!

Yep, seek out the stations that sell gas and not gas with ethanol. The mileage in my little zoom zoom has increased by 6 miles per gallon, town driving, by going to the station that has real gas!

I asked the owner about it. He told me that his big truck and everyone that has talked about buying gas from his station, has better gas mileage plus the autos/trucks are running better, less clattering, etc.

Since this is a locally owned mom and pop station, the price per gallon is less, too! Win, win.

NEW SHIRT DAY

Today, I wore my recently purchased flag shirt from Bonworth's, in honor of the Memorial Day weekend.

It is two sizes smaller than what I was wearing this time last year.

So that's a good thing.

Tooting my own horn.

Toot. Toot.

SUMMER IS HERE

It's hot in Dixie, yet again. The temp will be in the 90s today and tomorrow, probably only going higher for the next several weeks. I love living in Dixie but I do hate the hot.

Hubbie's job is still nixed but the wife, me, is trying to get over it. Don't think it's going so good. 64 and unemployed......

Today, the errands were CVS, drive thru Hardee's for a biscuit and Diet Coke, Lowe's for window screens, which they do not sell, only sell screen kits so you can make your own. WHAT?!! Don't think so! The big WM for a few things for the house and cereal.

Spent several minutes searching the web for jobs open in the area, not much here. Time will tell.

I truly hope that Huntsville does not end up Detroit Jr. The president has handed the Space Program to the Russians, this Shuttle has taken it's last flight to the Space Station and people are looking for jobs outside the space industry. Houses are up for sale, some for quite a while now.

There is a silver lining to every cloud.....somewhere.

JOB

What a difference a day makes.

The Hubbie's great job was cut yesterday due to budget constraints. He was not the only one but selfishly it's the only one that matters to me. Nope, not handling it well yesterday or today.

I can be a real negative person if I sink very low.

Today I am drinking chocolate milk from the jug, eatting chocolate chip muffins and watching the sinking of the Titanic to cheer me up.

Well, I put the milk in a glass but I thought about drinking it from the jug.

Rats, bummer, stink, throw up and every rotten thing I can think of today.

CASEY ANTHONY

Are you following the pretrial coverage of the Casey Anthony case? Somehow I keep being drawn to it. I tend to get involved in things like this, for example, I watched all I could of the OJ trial. It fascinated me. This does, too.

I feel so sad for the baby girl, the grandparents, etc. Although I feel that the grandparents are now covering for their daughter, they are suffering the most.

Our justice system is generally fair except when it comes to those that cannot speak for themselves, the murdered young, born and unborn.

There should be some kind of justice for the baby girl. What is your opinion?

PARTY WEEK

Missed me? It was Mothers Day and I had fun all week.

The older Son and his family, including the GRANDS, were here on Saturday. On Monday, he took me to the airport so I did not have to leave the little zoom zoom and pay parking. He also bought my lunch at Ruby Tuesday, yum yum.

I flew to see the Daughter and SIL. It was great. It was the first time I have flown since 9/11. The flight took about 42 minutes. LOVED it! We did fun stuff all week. She drove me back on Friday. They gave me a really cool purse and paid for part of my ticket. The Hubbie paid for the rest plus gave me some spending money.

The Young son drove in, surprised me and walked with us at the Relay for Life, cancer survivor's celebration and money raiser. All of our birth kids were here for the first time. It made my year.

I have some pics but they are not on the computer yet, may post a few. Don't know because I don't know how I look. Old, I know, ha, but we shall see.

It was a fun, wonderful, week, probably the best Mothers Day week for me ever.

Something is going on with Blogger. I tried to upload to web graphics but neither of them worked.

So, I'm going to bed without knowing why, without a clue.

HELPING OTHERS SAVE MONEY

Today, in Dixie, is a cold day, well in the 50s, and raining. It's what we call winter weather. Personally, I'm enjoying it because hot weather is just hot.

A tip for today is to help others save money. Do you coupon? Do your coupons expire without being used? Google and see where you can send those expired coupons. Military families overseas can use them up to six months after the expiration date. So, if you want to do a good deed, do the work and share those coupons.

FACEBOOK POST & REPOSTED HERE

Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found OBL and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!! REPOST IF YOU AGREE!!!!
